News from the McFly 2015 project
I talked in my blob about the McFly 2015 project that would like Nike to release the Nike McFly's shoes of the Back to the Future movie.
Michael Maloof, one of the two canadiens brothers that launched the trend, sent me an email. Here was the link he sent me.
MTV NEWS reports: "OK, it's no secret the lengths sneaker heads go to cop a pair of exclusives, but the Maloof brothers, Michael and Charles, might be taking it to the next next level. The two Canadians launched McFly2015.com in April in hopes of getting the suits over at Nike to actually release the Web site's namesake McFly 2015s, which Michael J. Fox sported in "Back to the Future Part II." So far the brothers have attracted close to 9,000 MySpace friends and the endorsements of a few notables, including indie band Whirlwind Heat — who told their fans to check the site — and Kanye West, whose Graduation album cover features the Dropout Bear sporting the kicks. Step to that. "
Rapper Kayne West has released his new album on which these sneakers appear on Kanye West's album should give the official McFly 2015 project a huge boost in terms of public awareness.
Thanks for the tip Michael, and keep on fighting for the McFly 2015!
